【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportprovidesguidelinestothoseconcernedwithdevelopingspecificationsofinformationtech-nologyservicesandtheirinterfacesintendedforusebyclientsoftheservices,inparticularbyexternalapplicationsthatdonotnecessarilyallsharetheenvironmentandassumptionsofoneparticularprogramminglanguage.Theguidelinesdonotdirectlyorfullycoverallaspectsofserviceorinterfacespecifications,buttheydocoverthoseaspectsrequiredtoachievelanguageindependence,i.e.requiredtomakeaspecificationneutralwithrespecttothelanguageenvironmentfromwhichtheserviceisinvoked.Theguidelinesareprimarilyconcernedwiththein-terfacebetweentheserviceandtheexternalapplicationsmakinguseoftheservice,includingthespecialcasewheretheserviceitselfisalreadyspecifiedinalanguage-dependentwaybutneedstobeinvokedfromenviron-mentsofotherlanguages.Languagebindings,alreadyaddressedbyanotherTechnicalReport,ISO/IECTR10182Guidelinesforlanguagebindings,aredealtwithbyprovidingadviceonhowtousethetwoTechnicalRe-portstogether.ThisTechnicalReportprovidestechnicalguidelines,ratherthanorganizationaloradministrativeguidelinesforthemanagementofthedevelopmentprocess,thoughinsomecasesthetechnicalguidelinesmayhaveorganizationaloradministrativeimplications.
